The Helensville District Health Trust is launching a new initiative, Te Kete Whāngai ō Kaipara, which will give free meals to local families as they leave Helensville Birthing Centre with their newborn. In time it will expand to include meals for the elderly, the unwell and families in crisis.
A special invitation is being issued to the community to come to the October Harvest Market and talk face-to-face with education and training providers and tell them what courses you'd like to see offered at Te Whare Oranga in 2017.

The HotHouse – growing ideas in a shared space – Working, innovating and connecting locally is now an option with The HotHouse. Situated at Te Whare Oranga ō Parakai, the initiative is being established by The South Kaipara Community Economic Development Scheme (SKCEDS).
We are disappointed to share with the community that Te Whare Oranga o Parakai was broken into over the long Waitangi weekend, with burglary and vandalism at the property. However this annoying setback will not alter our opening plans or delay our progress!

We are looking for an experienced Manager with a passion for community development and good commercial acumen to manage our exciting new facility at Parakai.
